As previously announced Ken Rosen and I have been working on a weekly Us Guys Chat. Here’s what we know so far:

Hashtag: #UsGuysChat

#UsGuysChatFrequency: Weekly

Date: Mondays

Time: 3 PM EST

Topics: Social Media, Branding & Strategy

Format: Chats will run between 60 and 90 minutes and will consist of a 10 minute intro time with a question designed to help members reveal a little bit of personal info weekly. The meat of the chat will consist of a series of 4-6 questions asked by moderators, using Q1, Q2 with participants “Answering” each question with a corresponding A1, A2. Each chat will wrap up with a question asking each chat participant to summarize their takeaways and action items from the chat. For example, “what’s your the one thing you’ve learned today you’d share with your twitter followers?”

Ken and I are putting the finishing touches on the topic for next week. I’ll update this post with the specifics once we’ve nailed everything down. If you have suggestions for a chat topic, please @ or DM Ken or I and we can add your suggestions to the list. We’d love to hear your thoughts.

Ken and I are very excited about taking these next steps with #UsGuysChat. We hope you are too.

Our inaugural chat topic will be “Social Media Platform Basics”. I’m interested in establishing a foundation of “who does what and how” among those interested in participating. From this fgoundation, we’ll strike out into far more challenging and interesting directions.  Admittedly, this topic may not supercharge everyone, but I want to walk before we run a little bit. Further, I think there’s a nice oppty to have a robust discussion around this basic topic and still have a few takeaways.

Please feel free to suggest future topics or specific questions you’d like to address within this topic in the comments to this blog post.

Thanks – and see you all next Monday!
